We Can Cure Chronic Disease

Humans historically died of acute disease, like infections and trauma.

Heart attacks and strokes kill quickly, but are the result of years of progressing atherosclerosis that suddenly erupts.

We suffer, die from and pay dearly for the complications of the following chronic diseases:

  • Type 2 Diabetes/Prediabetes/Insulin Resistance
  • Obesity
  • Hypertension
  • Atherosclerosis (Arterial Disease)
  • Depression
  • Dementia
  • Addiction
  • Cancer
  • Others

These chronic diseases are "comorbid", meaning they coexist in the same individual.  The root causes are lifestyle choices affecting expression of our genes.

The term "diabesity"  describes the 1st 3 in the list and possibly the next 3, all caused largely by sugar and sitting.  They can be cured with a diet of real food and exercise augmented when needed with supplements and medication.

We tend to think of these as persistent and incurable conditions. The typical goal is to manage the disease to prevent its complications.  Drugs are the mainstay of treatment.  Drug costs are the most rapidly rising segment of unsustainable costs.  We live longer but sick, racking up the treatment and costs.  This thinking must change or will we be sicker and bankrupt.

At The Center for Prevention, we have good news:  Chronic disease can be prevented, reversed and even cured!    It is reversed by personal choices about nutrition and activity interacting with our genes and environment.  We quit smoking, avoid alcohol and drug abuse, avoid sugar and processed food and get off the couch.  We become aware of the addictive nature of processed foods and find support to overcome its power.

We restore health, reduce the need for medications, lower costs and increase happiness.

Our mission is to identify and measure your chronic disease, identify your individual root causes, develop a personalized plan to reverse it and measure improvement.  When that improvement or remission lasts long enough, it is reasonable to call it "cured."  No cure is 100% effective or lasts forever, but this cure can endure for years if we do the right things.

We Measure, Motivate, Measure again & Maintain Momentum.  These M&M's are good for you!  They can cure your chronic disease by restoring your Health!
